2020 Election Investigator Appeals Contempt Ruling

The former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice hired to investigate the 2020 presidential election in this state has appealed a contempt ruling against him.

A Dane County judge is fining Michael Gableman $2,000 a day until he complies with an open records request from the liberal group American Oversight.  Gableman filed the appeal last week.

The fine by Dane County Circuit Judge Frank Remington was levied after a heated court hearing.

Remington criticized the special counsel for his demeanor in court, his refusal to answer questions, and the sarcastic remarks he made about a female attorney.
