PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – The night before the results of the Maricopa County election audit commissioned by state Senate Republicans will be made public, a draft report of the results was leaked. It confirms that President Joe Biden won the county over former President Donald Trump. In fact, the draft report from Cyber Ninjas audit showed Biden received 99 more votes than the original canvass done by Maricopa County. Trump also got 261 fewer votes, according to the draft report.

On Thursday evening, Maricopa County tweeted that the draft report from Cyber Ninjas, which started the audit process almost six months ago, confirms that the County’s canvass of the 2020 General Election was accurate, and the certified winners did actually win.

Buckle up: Arizona Republicans to show 2020 recount results

“Unfortunately, the report is also littered with errors & faulty conclusions about how Maricopa County conducted the 2020 General Election,” the County tweeted. But officials have not elaborated on the alleged false claims.

“Board members & election officials will pay close attention to what is said at Friday’s scheduled Senate hearing & share facts as needed,” the County tweeted.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, controlled 4-1 by Republicans, has vehemently defended the vote count. “You don’t have to dig deep into the draft copy of the Arizona Senate/Cyber Ninja audit report to confirm what I already knew – the candidates certified by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Governor, Secretary of State and Attorney General – did, in fact, win,” Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers said in a statement.

2020 election review

The review of 2020 election results for Maricopa County’s election will be released Friday.

Arizona Family will be streaming Friday’s presentation on the audit live online, on our streaming platforms, and in our free news app. That is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The unprecedented partisan review — focused on the vote count in Arizona’s largest county, Maricopa — is led and funded largely by people who already believe that Trump was the true winner, despite dozens of lawsuits and extraordinary scrutiny that found no problems that could change the outcome. They’ve ignored the detailed vote-counting procedures in Arizona law.

In Arizona, five people are scheduled to publicly outline the findings for two top Republicans in the state Senate chamber, including Doug Logan, the CEO of Cyber Ninjas, a cybersecurity consulting firm with no election experience. He served as the head of the review team despite his prior work to promote “stop the steal” election conspiracies.
