Despite “heroic” attempts to uncover fraud by President Donald Trump’s operatives, nothing significant was uncovered after countless recounts. Former administration officials including former Attorney General Bill Barr said there was no compelling evidence of fraud in the 2020 election. Chris Krebs, Homeland Security’s director of cybersecurity and infrastructure security, called it the safest election ever, after which he was unceremoniously fired. (Note that hackers took advantage of our laser focus on election security to perpetuate the Solar Winds software breach.)
