SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) – A Scottsdale woman has been indicted for allegedly signing her dead mother’s name on an early voting ballot envelope in the 2020 election.

On Monday, Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that a state Grand Jury had indicted Tracey Kay McKee on one felony count of illegal voting and one felony count of perjury.

Brnovich says McKee signed the name of her mother on an early ballot envelope after her mother’s death. McKee’s mother died on October 5, 2020, and McKee is accused of signing her name sometime between Oct. 7 and Nov. 3, 2020.

McKee’s is set to appear in court August 11.

Technology consultants hired by Arizona Senate Republicans to probe the 2020 election have finished counting and photographing nearly 2.1 million ballots from Maricopa County.

The GOP-led Senate ordered an election audit after Trump backers claimed without evidence that fraud led to his loss in Arizona and other battleground states. The Republican-dominated Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has repeatedly said the election was fair and free of any problems.
